On 12 October 2024, the Malaysian Financial Planning Day (MFPD) was held at the Securities Commission and attracted 1,600 attendees, including students and the public, eager to explore the financial planning industry. Jointly organised by Malaysia's leading financial planning associations, the event offered a blend of interactive learning and networking opportunities.

Funded by the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF) and officiated by Puan Meha Kasbun of the Securities Commission Malaysia, the event focused on "Financial Learning for Youth". Seven experienced speakers shared insights on the profession, career pathways and the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on financial planning.

A roundtable discussion provided aspirants with practical knowledge about a financial planning career, while one-to-one career guidance sessions aimed to encourage youth to consider the CFP education pathway.
